The sun was free. They sold you sunscreen.
Sleep was free. They sold you pills.
Walking was free. They sold you a treadmill.
Fasting was free. They sold you meal replacement shakes.
Cold water was free. They sold you a plunge barrel.
Animal fat was free. They sold you supplements to replace what it contained.
Fermented food was free. They sold you probiotics.
Tallow was free. They sold you a seventeen-step skincare routine.
Silence was free. They sold you a meditation app.
Sunlight on your skin was free. They sold you vitamin D tablets.

Every single thing the human body requires to function was available, free, for the entirety of human history.

The 20th century built an industry around removing access to each of them.
The 21st century is building an industry selling them back.

Nothing about this is accidental.

Your great-grandmother had none of the products.
She had all of the things the products are compensating for.

She was, largely, fine.

Preparedness

Luck is rarely magic, it is the intersection of preparation and opportunity. Most people call it chance because they ignore the silent work that preceded it. Skills unused, knowledge unpracticed, attention scattered, these are why opportunities slip by unnoticed. Fortune favors the ready, not the lucky.

Cultivate skill, awareness, and timing before the “big moment” arrives. When opportunity knocks, it meets a mind that can recognize it, act decisively, and transform it into result. Luck is simply readiness intersecting reality.

Not to sound delusional, but please pray for grace. Life isn’t really about hard work. It’s more about alignment, meeting the right people, grace, mercy, and favour.

We are overstimulated and we don't even notice. Netflix while eating. Reels in the bathroom. Music while cooking. Podcasts on walks. We consume by default, not by intention. You keep filling every gap, then wonder why you feel foggy and unmotivated. Boredom and silence are the real growth drivers. They give you space to think and create. That's when solutions show up for problems that have been stuck for months. Leave some room.
